Posted By: Will Moss on September 12, 2020 Philip (on the right in the photo) was recently hired by Microsoft after having attended 2 or 3 HBCU CONNECT hiring events. Remember, Microsoft is a huge company with many different hiring organizations within. Just about every HBCU CONNECT event is for a different hiring organization within Microsoft looking for different types of talent. We just received a kind note from Philip after we invited him to another one of our upcoming hiring events. Unfortunately he would not be able to join us this time for our event, but the reason being, he was recently hired by Microsoft as a result of one of our past events! So do not be discouraged if you are not hired right away after one of our hiring events. Just keep making sure you attend events in the future and keep updating your resume with new skills you are picking up. You might be a perfect fit for the next team hosting an event!
