Have You Considered a Profession in the Environmental Sector? Consider the Masters of the Environment Graduate Program at CU!
|
Posted By: Will Moss on November 20, 2020 If you’ve been considering making the switch to a meaningful profession in the environmental sector, the Masters of the Environment Graduate Program (MENV) at CU Boulder could be the right next step for your career.
MENV is an innovative, interdisciplinary, professional master’s degree. This immersive graduate program takes a systems-thinking approach to problem solving and equips students with the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to address the complex environmental challenges of the 21st Century. Students in the MENV program develop problem-solving strategies that transcend sectors, industries, and the ever-changing landscape of environmental work.
Students choose one of five specialization areas to prepare them for specific career tracks: Environmental and Natural Resources Policy, Renewable & Sustainable Energy, Sustainability in the Outdoor Industry, Sustainable Food Systems, and Urban Resilience & Sustainability.
In recent memory, there has been no more compelling evidence of the urgent need to fill the leadership voids and share solutions than the COVID-19 pandemic. The MENV program trains its students to do just this. This is the time to develop resilience in people and places, to build community, and find purpose in helping each other. Together, we can create eco-social systems that enable essential workers to do their job well and safely. We can plan for disruptions and orient responses in ways that avoid escalating or creating new vulnerabilities. Will you join us?
MENV does not require the GRE or any standardized test scores or pre-requisite courses, and our priority application for Fall 2021 is January 15, 2021 (applications are open until the final deadline of March 15, 2021). If you would like to learn more, please visit our website, follow us on Facebook and Instagram, or email MENVadmissions@Colorado.edu to set up a time to talk with a member of our Admissions Team. We hope to hear from you soon! If you enjoyed this article, Join HBCU CONNECT today for similar content and opportunities via email! |
