Don’t Miss Microsoft’s Next VIRTUAL Diversity Hiring Event Thursday, March 25

Posted By: Loren Moss on January 20, 2021 Black and Latino software professionals: Microsoft wants you! While other software firms are embroiled in controversy and slacking on outreach commitments, Microsoft has been on a roll with 11 hiring events already booked with partner HBCU Connect. Based on the Redmond, Washington company’s efforts, Microsoft will likely hire more technology professionals from historically black colleges and universities than any other employer during 2021. During the event, attendees and prospective candidates will be able to learn about Microsoft as a company, the culture, opportunities, and a special focus on the Customer Engineering team. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions directly of Microsoft recruiting team members, and possibly land an interview after the event. Microsoft is looking for software engineers, programmers, testers and support people across all disciplines, but they are especially seeking customer success management professionals and customer support engineers. Unlike many open positions, these opportunities that Microsoft is recruiting for are open to early career professionals with as little as one year of experience. Recent graduates and even those that have gained experience through internships should show up and apply now, or at a minimum learn about future possibilities. On the other hand, Microsoft is also looking for experienced professionals for advanced and supervisory positions. Even candidates with one or more decades of experience should consider this a grand opportunity. Interested attendees should sign up at www.hbcuconnect.com/microsoft/css and share the form with friends and colleagues. The signup form is on the right-side column of the page. Once candidates have completed the form and registered, they will receive event details and event login information via email. The event will take place March 25, 2021 from 6pm until 7:30pm Eastern time for the convenience of working attendees.
