Prime Minister for the Caribbean Islands

Posted By: Ivan Butcher II on February 15, 2021 Now To Unifying Caribbean Nations Here in the Virgin Islands: It seems as if the principles of the Monroe Doctrine, which are to protect the United States' backyard from any nation establishing a military foothold in the Caribbean has become obsolete. In my life time the Monroe Doctrine was enforced in 1962, by Kennedy's face-off with Russia in Cuba, and again at the time when Reagan's conflict with Cuba in Grenada, in 1983. The United States' improved relationship with Cuba is long over due, especially today with CHINA, a communist nation, establishing an economic stronghold on many of the Caribbean Islands. Now, the US needs to allow the Virgin Islands to do business with the Caricom Nations. Caribbean Nations working together would give All more autonomy working from the inside out, instead the "Crabs in the Barrel Syndrome," which would benefit the whole Caribbean. Divide and Conquer, the US Virgin Islands not having the ability to openly enterprise with the Caricom nations is one of Separation, much like how the embargo on Cuba has impacted their growth potential. Self-sufficiency: CUBA along would be able to supply the entire Caribbean with goods and services needed. In the Eyes of Reason, Reparations, for THEM it would mean admitting and accepting responsibility, I am doubtful of this happening anytime soon, especially if we as a People continue to cow-tow to their whims.
