Posted By: Lloyd wynn on May 15, 2021 The energy landscape is being transformed before our very eyes and the overwhelming majority of Blacks do not have the slightest interest or inclination to participate. Bloomberg New Energy Finance reported $500 Billion was invested in energy transition in 2020 and the issuance of $732 Billion in sustainable debt during this period, which translated into more capital available for renewable energy projects. Moreover, 2100 major corporations have commitments to decarbonize and over 185 nations have renewable portfolios standards and have signed onto the Paris Agreement. One-third of global banks (130), have agreed to align their practices with the Paris Agreement and some nations, including France and New Zealand have committed to zero oil and gas exploration on their land or offshore. Bloomberg’s organization has already helped to close 297 out of 530 coal plants in the US. Heads of state from Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal and Slovakia were among those who announced that they would work to phase out coal. South Korea announced it would shut down four coal-fired power plants, and six more will be closed by 2022, as well as the doubling of its contribution to the Green Climate Fund. With all this activity to divest the global community of fossil fuels, where will we find a source of energy to power our global economy? For the scant few Blacks who might have some curiosity about this phenomenon, they do not know how to gain exposure or access to this global trend. The reason we (Legacy MicroGrid) are providing this information is to give you access to the new world where people no longer believe the earth is flat. The forecast for 2021 is similar on the investment transition side but an 8% increase is predicted for sustainable debt. Seize this moment!
