Posted By: Cidra Sebastien on June 14, 2006 The Brotherhood/Sister Sol is a non-profit Harlem based organization empowering Black and Latino youth to become critical thinkers and community leaders. Using a unique holistic model of youth development, Bro/Sis has a reputation of creating life-changing experiences for its youth. This July, 15 youth will participate in its International Study Program to Brasil. Oi Brasil: Diaspora Dance 2006 is a party with a cause -- helping Bro/Sis raise money to sponsor the youth's experience in Brasil. Presented by The Friends of The Brotherhood/Sister Sol on June 22 at NYC's M1-5 from 7p - 2a, Oi Brasil is going to be an amazing music & dance party including performances by Grammy award winning Gordon Chambers, Amanda Diva & The Brothers, Hasan Salaam & HiCoup, Akil Dawson, and host La Bruja. DJs Beverly Bond and Dread will be spinning on the one and twos. Tickets are $25 in advance and more artists are expected to sign on. ALL proceeds from the event will go to The Brotherhood/Sister Sol. More details appear at http://www.brotherhood-sistersol.org/Diasp... SPREAD THE WORD!
