Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies and Healthforce Center at UCSF are seeking a full-time post-doctoral scholar to join the team for Policy at Healthforce. Read on for details and please spread the word! This position’s training and appointment will be based at IHPS, which has 50 years of providing health policy research. This role will work on projects primarily at Healthforce Center with a vibrant group of faculty and staff doing health workforce studies across many domains. The faculty mentor will be Beth Mertz. In close collaboration with communities across California, the scholar will contribute to research projects that advance a health workforce policy agenda that prioritizes system changes to generate better economic opportunity, and, ultimately, better health for communities of color, statewide public health, and individual health equity. Specific research and implementation projects will be developed collaboratively. The role may also have opportunities to collaborate with faculty at IHPS and Healthforce Center, opportunities to be first author for journal articles, and time for individual research, as well as invitations to participate in professional development activities of IHPS and UCSF.
