Posted By: Anya McDonald on August 20, 2025 I chose to attend an HBCU because I want to be in a place where I feel supported, encouraged, and understood. To me, an HBCU is more than just a school it’s a community where I can learn and grow around people who share similar experiences and values. I know that at an HBCU, I’ll be surrounded by people who want to see me succeed, from professors to classmates, and that kind of support is important to me as I chase my goals.
