Posted By: David McGruder on June 23, 2006 HEY THIS IS DAVID...I want to introduce to the world...or at least HBCUconnect.com to A.F.R.O. This stands for African-Americans Fighting Racial Oppression. Racism is still alive and well...and we must come to grips with the grim reality that it will never go away. YET there are so many things that we have to do as a people to make ourselves the royalty that we are called to be. Yes whites are responsible for much of the societal oppression, as it is a direct effect of slavery, RE-Construction & Jim Crow but we are responsible for our own well beings as individuals and as a race of people. This is not a racist organization...my wish is that all races would join (We are not the only group of OPPRESSED PEOPLE, but we do suffer from it the most)...I wish nothing but peace for all mankind, but my first concern lies to the group to which I belong. LET’S LAY THE ISSUES ON THE TABLE...LETS TALK ABOUT EM’... BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL, David A.K.A.
