The Lady Bears asserted their dominance, winning the opener 9-1 before taking the nightcap 7-2 at the historic Les Stuedeman Field.

This marks the first time in program history that the Lady Bears (5-3) have defeated the Panthers (1-5) in seven contests dating back to 2014. In the opener, the Lady Bears' bats came alive, as they scored nine runs to overwhelm the Panthers.

Standout performances were turned in by sophomore outfielder Jasmine Williams, who went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs, and senior pitcher Tiffany Davis, who tossed a complete game, allowing just one run on five hits.

The nightcap was another dominant display, as the Lady Bears scored seven runs to secure the sweep. Junior catcher Alexis Johnson led the way, going 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. On the mound, sophomore hurler Kayla Jackson turned in a strong six-inning performance, limiting the Panthers to just two runs.

"This was a great team effort from start to finish. Our players came out focused and executed our game plan to perfection. It's a testament to the hard work and dedication of our student-athletes."
