Javon Hargrave, the standout defensive tackle from South Carolina State University, has signed a lucrative two-year contract with the Green Bay Packers worth up to $23 million as he enters his 11th NFL season.

The deal includes $13 million guaranteed and carries an average annual salary of $11.5 million. Hargrave will earn $13 million in first-year cash during the 2026 season, with that full amount guaranteed. For the former Bulldog, this contract represents another milestone in a career that has consistently proven the elite caliber of HBCU-developed talent.

Filling a Critical Need in Green Bay

The Packers moved swiftly to secure Hargrave after reshaping their defensive line this offseason. Following the trade of veteran tackle Kenny Clark to the Dallas Cowboys and the departure of Colby Wooden, Green Bay needed proven interior production.
