HBCULift Launches to Strengthen and Sustain HBCUs Through Strategic Innovation and Alumni Engagement

Posted By: Will Moss on April 17, 2026

Springdale, MD - 4/17/2026

HBCULift, a mission-driven initiative founded by former Senior Vice President and Hampton University alumnus Eduardo "Ed" Jackson, officially launches with a bold vision: to help Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) thrive through enhanced communication, alumni engagement, and strategic innovation.

Drawing on decades of executive leadership experience impacting thousands of employees and millions of stakeholders, Jackson created HBCULift to bridge the gap between institutional challenges and modern solutions.

"HBCUs have produced some of the most influential leaders in the world--but many are operating without the visibility, resources, and engagement they deserve," said Jackson. "HBCULift exists to change that."

Addressing Critical Needs with Modern Solutions

HBCULift focuses on three key areas:

  • Strategic Communication Enhancement - Helping institutions improve how they connect with students, alumni, and stakeholders
  • AI-Powered Innovation - Introducing intelligent solutions to modernize campus operations and outreach
  • Alumni Engagement & Giving - Strengthening alumni networks to drive increased support, visibility, and long-term sustainability

Through these pillars, HBCULift aims to empower institutions to operate more efficiently, communicate more effectively, and build stronger communities of support.

A Proven Leader with a Personal Mission

Jackson's journey--from working multiple jobs to complete college to rising to Senior Vice President--fuels his passion for this work. A lifelong advocate for HBCUs and active leader in alumni and community organizations, he brings both credibility and commitment to the mission.

"HBCUs didn't just educate me--they transformed me," Jackson added. "Now it's time to pour that same energy back into the institutions that gave us so much."

Building a Movement, Not Just a Company

HBCULift is actively seeking partnerships with HBCU leaders, alumni organizations, and corporate stakeholders who are committed to strengthening the future of these institutions.
