Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the faith of the gospel. Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. 1 Pet 1:2 Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. Hosea 4:6-7 my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. "Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children. Everyday is an important day, and every second is a growth opportunity to deepen your character, to demonstrate your love or depend on GOD. The following is derived from the Purpose Driven Life: Without a purpose, life is motion w/o meaning, activity w/o direction, and events w/o reason. 1) Worship helps you focus on GOD 2) Fellowship helps you face life's problems 3) Discipleship helps you fortify your faith 4) Ministry helps you find your talents 5) Evangelism helps you fulfill your mission Character Development: There is no growth w/o change; there is no change w/o fear or loss; and there is no loss w/o pain. 1) God's word provides the truth we need to grow 2) God's people provides the support we need to grow 3) Circumstances provide the environment we need to practice Christ likeness Our 5 Deepest needs: 1) A purpose to live for 2) People to live with 3) Principles to live by 4) A profession to live out 5) Power to live on *Hope comes from having a purpose. *Pain is the fuel of passion.
