Posted By: jimmy harris on July 11, 2026 Money and What it Takes to Get it Know what you want and why You need to be crystal clear about why you need money, what you are going to do with it, and how you intend to keep it. Make a big bet on yourself and do the work. The work is whatever it takes is what you will do. For example, you may want $50,000,000 so you can generate $1,500,000 income from interest. You get paid for waiting. Conviction You need strong conviction about what you are investing in, whether it is your business, two or three stock, bonds, two or three crypto tokens, gold, silver, or housing--you need conviction like you need air. How do you increase your conviction about what you want?......Education! Yep, educate yourself daily about the thing you are convinced about and knowing that you are the recipient. Educating yourself about what you will use or do to make $10,000, $100,000 and millions makes your conviction stronger…. and you will need every bit of it so you can have staying power. Focus, Commitment, and Patience Stay focused on accumulating assets. Read about your investments every day. Focus on your customers 7-day per week. If you are buying stocks, read, read, and read some more about the company you are investing in so you will know everything about the company. Read the 13F filings, read about their partners, understand their moat or what gives them the advantage. Stay committed to investing in this company for 10 years or longer. Find a growth company or one that pays good dividends and lean in with contributions. Don’t get rattled by headlines. Eventually, you will become an expert at understanding the company’s products and services. Solid Network of People/Community Find and get around people who believe like you do and have “skin” in their own game. People who are interested in money, living, family, adding value to the lives of other people, work, and laughing. People who think and speak negatively--stay away from them. People who think that rich people are crooks, the government is bad, and the world is going to hell in a handbasket—stay away from them. Create and cultivate the kind of life that you want to live. It will take money to live a productive, value-added life, and to enjoy some of the finer things that life has to offer. Jimmy D.
