Great Wall of Fear

Posted By: Vykesha S. on December 07, 2006 The thought of being called yours has got me ona natural high nothing i could smoke or drink could make me feel as good as you do but on my journey up the pathway to cloud nine I run into my Great Wall of Fear this solid wall of fear is preventing me from reaching my destination to you You are there patiently waiting to mend my brokenness bit I take a step back and ponder my willingness to climb up or walk around this wall Am i willing to climb tis wall and after crossing to the other side letting you rebuild a wall of trust and sincerity or will I continue to let the bricks of past and comparison continue to increase the height of this wall? My heart has been running along this wall for so long that it is tired But in the midst of its exhaustion your are there like a refreshing bottle of Gatorade to replenish all that was lost just enough to let me know that you are there wainting on the other side of this wall with open arms you are there asking "Is It In You?" Truthfully I don't know My heart has made so many attempts to climb over this wall but it has been pulled right back down by disappointment I want to give it another try but I need to know that it will be you there at the top of this wall waiting to pull me over and rebuild a new and better wall that only you and I can make possible If you enjoyed this article, Join HBCU CONNECT today for similar content and opportunities via email! |
