Las Vegas a No-Go for the Braves
|
Posted By: LaToya Shields on July 13, 2007 Alcorn State, MS----The Silver Dollar Classic promoters have notified the officials of Alcorn State University that the September 29, 2007 game between Morehouse College and Alcorn State has been canceled. Proper sponsorship was not secured in order for the classic to materialize. The Braves will play a 10-game season with September 29, 2007 being an open date for the team. At the present time, an eleventh game would be difficult to add to the schedule. In 2006, the Braves were victorious in the Silver Dollar Classic against Morehouse winning 23-6. Alcorn State University’s officials would like to thank the fans for their patience as attempts were made to negotiate the Silver Dollar Classic.
