The 2008 Multicultural Advertising Intern Program
|
Posted By: Angela Johnson Meadows on September 17, 2007 The American Association of Advertising Agencies (AAAA) wants to jumpstart the advertising careers of the country’s most talented multicultural students with its Multicultural Advertising Intern Program (MAIP), which offers 10-week paid summer internships at real-word advertising agencies. MAIP interns gain practical work experience, establish key industry contacts, and perhaps most importantly, are better prepared to land a full-time job in advertising when they graduate. Internships are available in the following advertising agency departments: Account Management, Creative (Art Direction or Copy Writing), Broadcast Production, Digital/Interactive Technologies, Media Buying/Planning, Strategic/Account Planning, Print Production, Public Relations and Traffic. MAIP 2008 runs from May 30 to August 10. Interested college juniors, seniors and students in graduate or portfolio school should visit www.aaaa-maip.org to obtain more information about the program and to download an application. The application submission deadline is 5:00 pm EST, Friday, December 7, 2007. If you enjoyed this article, Join HBCU CONNECT today for similar content and opportunities via email! |
