But when I met her, I knew it had been worth it; a lifetime of disappointments in my other commitments. Game recognized game and I had no shame surrendering myself to her. I was the man, but she was the woman—my woman—and I wanted to do whatever it took to please her, to ease her troubles, to…make her happy. Ours was a relationship that was cerebral, no words were needed to make the other understand, comprehend—Charles Xavier and Jean Grey had nothing on us. With but a glance she could place me in a trance. She was an orgasm and an epiphany, religion and spirituality. She was the vastness of the universe I could never fully explore because I lacked the capability. And yet knowing my limits…she still stayed with me. Like Maslow’s hierarchy, she gave me everything I would ever need. She was sustenance and I was hungry. I devoured her manna on my way across the burning sands to the Promised Land.
