And Ni99a’s wonder why it’s Mad-Black-Women

And Ni99a’s wonder why it’s Mad-Black-Women
Posted By: Michael R. Grant on May 09, 2005

“ I see black dudes… with white girls on they arms… I be mad at’em… as if I was they moms…” This quote is from a song on Common’s new album that has not yet dropped, but somehow leaked to the street. I be mad at them too Com... And Ni99a’s wonder why it’s Mad-Black-Women, right?

You know, black men do a lot to our black sisters. They do a whole lot alright, just not for them!

When a sister see’s a black man with a white girl on his arm, she looses something. She feels she has lost something and she has. She’s lost a brotha. Even worse (no offense to you gay people), I know sista’s really be pissed when they see a “black dude…” with a brotha on they arm. Hell, ya’ll be mad at them, as if ya’ll was they moms! I know you feel like you’ve lost something. You have, and that’s soo wak!

Lately, I’ve been feeling like I’m loosing something, and I am. Just as black women have been losing their brotha’s, we brotha’s have been losing our sista’s.

Because of this, I’ve got a bone to pick with my brotha’s. We’re losing ours on some real dumb isht. It seems all we want to do is bone, steeling stripes from our sisters who need the lines of balance, who need our approval, who need our love and support, who need us exclusively, and not aloof brotha’s with disconnected penises.

Hittin’ girls is what many black men call their stripes. It’s really strife; losing the vital piece of ourselves, our women. Too many men are steeling the dignity of our sisters who so badly want a black man in their corner. So now our women are giving black men what they are asking for. The diamond. In return, these troubled women gain nothing, loose the jewel, and have lost another battle. They lose the battle to their own brother. Then another half of them chicks go gay. What the hell?!

I just hate to know that our sisters are so fine, wonderful, powerful and gorgeous, and soooo many don’t even want us anymore. We’re losing our own appeal to a mentality… a soon to be stereotypical mentality, that is arguably in existence right now.

Men so easily embrace the mentality to f**k, but lack the ability to embrace the women. What’s up with that?

I hate to be a nice looking brotha and when I want to meet a young lady, they assume I’m doggish cause I’m good looking. Furthermore, I hate to meet black woman, and they can’t put it past me. My own brotha’s messed that up for me. I also hate meeting women that easily giv eit up. If they were the women I wanted them to be, I'd be a slave to them. Instead, we've got chicks giving it out like pacifiers.

Our women are looking past us now. Beyond us. Over us. They can’t fathom brotha’s that have there isht together. They say, “Yeh, there’s a brotha out there for me… but he’s not here!” as if “here” is a place where good brother’s never come. They think good brotha’s don’t exist “here.” With sisters thinking like this, it’s no wonder it’s so hard to get one right in your own town or school. They don’t even think you exist ni99a!

I blame my brothers for this. We need to ask more of ourselves. We need to be real men. I shake my head as I write these words cuase they probly ain’t even trying to hear this.
You’ll see though. You could see if you step into a man’s shoes and be what your sister needs. You’ll see more positive results from sista’s when you give them the antidote to their sickness. What is the antidote- the cure for our thirsty sister who just wants here soul to be replenished by a strong black man? The cure is US. Be stronger black men, and we can yield more strong black women…

You must want more for your sisters than some quick stick. God made us human. Animals can walk around smashin’ the whole barn yard. Separate from that mentality, and get into your “man-tality” or else we’re gonna keep losing sisters. It’s wak the day you meet someone who you know you could fall in love with, and she’s in love with Hector, Keisha or just ain’t gonna hear your broke ass. Then you ask yourself, “why they ain’t feelin’ me?”

Cause like Common said, “they mad at us” as if they are our moms!

Peace

Wow my black brotha that was soooo deep. I can't even lie because its so true. Most black women are madd and fed up so they don't even bother or give a brother a chance. Even though this man might be really genuine. It is hard to say where the good black men have gone. It is like they all fell off the face of the earth. It is like you think you find a brotha who has his life together and they are down to earth but when push comes to shove, they fall right in to the category of a "typical black man" which is the saddest thing to say but this is the reason girls don't even bother So many women have been through so many men that have been doggs that they just give up in a sense. If you listen to most songs that girl artist come up with, it always have to deal with heart ache, going through a bad relationship etc and etc. If the prettiest girls go through this and it really shouldn't have to be that way but sadly it is. I just want to say I most definitely understand where you are coming from and this issue needs to be addressed and I'm glad you did. Much love to you and keep your head up. you will go far in life (as if you don't know that already)

You know, I dont see why any female with sense would look past you. Granted, we do have preconceived predilections about "our" men, but some of us know that all hope hasnt been lost. You just made me realize that I cant be selfish and try to have two good black men because there is a small supply of them (refer to Dilemma). I wish you all the luck in finding a mature black woman who can stand up for herself, I also wish you luck in taking your message to the streets cuz that's what u have to do. U wont have any idea how many of your brothers u will touch speakin just what u have on this blog! I have a poem for you...hit me up, my im is almondwindows@yahoo. It will inspire you to keep the faith and know that some black women still appreciate the BLACK man!

Yo the words put on this blog could not have been said any better than that! I am actually surprised that a guy wrote this, most of the time it's the woman expresing how she feels about this dilemna. Anywayz I am glad and proud as well to see a strong Black Man not afraid to write wat he feels and share that with others it takes alot of maturity or should I courage to do wat u did. But I also want you to know that even though wat u said about our brotha's is true in most cases, I want to tell you that woman can be just as triflin as these men out and we need to stop being so picky, selfish and downright direspectful when it comes to our black male because they may never know he could have been Mister. Right Now!

Due to the fact that I just broke with a brotha for cheatin, you really got to me on this one. He wasn't getting it from me after four months so he got it from someone else. I really can't get mad at him because he is immature. I won't let him stop me from talking to other dudes. Unlike some people, I don't blame the new ones for the old one's mistakes. Everyone deserves a chance because you could be saying "I hate all men" and the one for you could easily get away. So don't think that all sistas are like that. I have love for all my brothas even though some of them are childish as hell and want to get booty from this girl and that girl. I don't just shut people down when they try to talk me, unless they come at me wrong. I'm not mad at all.
