Posted By: Demetrice Morrison on June 26, 2008 Having Integrity about what you believe in. Integrity is defined as purpose + poise + sound truth = Integrity It can be used in many facets in our life. I have extracted that verb and applied to the simple things such as the decisions we make in order to nourish our bodies. It seems futile but in such a small thing as resolving hunger, it too requires the ability to know that our bodies our the temple of the Lord (sound truth) and that we as his children are held responsible for protecting or abusing the temple (purpose) and have an obligation daily to make the right decision when faced with temptation (poise). I have notice a lack of attention being given in the minute things such as the foods we put in our body. We as a society lack the integrity to challenge food chains that serve all fried foods on the menu for an example. Integrity will pose bold and daring questions such as why do I have to eat ribs during certain events while my temple can benefit better from a low fat turkey burger? Integrity boils down to the mundane decisions that we don't often give attention to. This small entrance into our magnified lives lends us a helping hand to self check our own integrity when it comes down to our poor food choices and eating habits. Integrity can be powerful is exercised in the most simplest decisions we make. I agree we should start with making the right decisions with ourselves beginning with the selections of choices we make for our bodies
