Posted By: Amanda Dush on June 05, 2005 I am soo upset. I am a single mother of a 4 year old son. I graduate high school at 18 with a 2.89 GPA and everything but I cant recieve ANY money for school. Why can't a female that has over come obstacles that the world expects you to fail get a little slack??? I want to attend Huston-Tillotson SOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad but I have no money for it. Fasa think smy dad makes plenty!!! I have 8 brother and 8 sisters.... yes 16 B&S no lie or joke. that many you would imagine we didnt have much money to save for college. I am the second youngest; THERE are NO money for college that I can get... Kinda sucks... looks like I am going to have to go to ACC nothin wrong wit it but I wanna do it just like everyone and not settle b/c of my obstacle.... girl, don't settle...definitely call financial aid and tell them yyour situation..look for scholarships too they have scholarships for everything about now...look down every avenue u possible can...but mad props to you for doing ya thing wit staying in school and raising ya child..not all women would have done that...so regardless of who give u what...if u put ya mind to it u can do it cuz u nice like that...lol
