Love and Bruises

Love and Bruises
Posted By: Tonja Williams on October 04, 2008

Beloved, I dropped by to say that Love never comes with bruises or broken bones. If they say they love you and put their hands on you in a way other than to make love to you or give you a massage then that is not love. If it happens once it will happen again. Do get it twisted! I never have been in a really physical abusive relationship but abuse is abuse. No one deserves to be hurt by one that say they love them. Love is defined as having or expressing tender feelngs, desire, kindness toward, passionate, romantic, strong affection for someone.

Well belove that is the natural love but the real reason I stopped by was to tell you about an uncondtional love that promises never to break you heart or blaken your eye nor break your bones. That love promises to never leave you or forsake you . That love promises to be your all and all. That love promises to be the beginning and the end. All I can tell you is that if you try this love you will know what true love is and will never return to what you knew before. It is the agape love of Jesus Christ. He loves you because he created you and no matter what your sitituation is he still loves you. Now I am not saying that everything will be easy all the time but I am saying that with his love on your side and will go through everything with you. Not to get all deep I will be glad to share more with you when you desire just contact me at pastorwilliams@umkd.org. Love Pastor Tonja Williams

This is very true. Some people dont know what a healthy relationship is because either they never been in one or never saw one in the home. Some dont even know what it supposed to be or look like. This is why women like you who are pastors need to demonstrate that to women in particular.

As a man, I truly understand what it means to be female friendldy. Women have suffered physical abuse far to long, as well as men from women. Men and womem truly need to learn what it means to be relationship friendly. If we all make a honest inventory of our character defects, this might lead to a healthier relationship. Ladies, ask your man/significant other if he's female friendly. If he can't answer that question, then, you really need to reassess being alone with that man. Know how you want to be treated from the beginning and then tell HIM. If he complies, then the relationship has a great chance of being satisfying, if he's unable to comply, then offer advice for him to seek groups that can better prepare him to be female friendly. This goes for the ladies too. I've met women who were abusive also because it happened to them or they underestimated me because I'm kind and a God fearing man. Make sure you know who you want in a man and he knows what he wants in the woman. Key word is male and female friendly. Show up with guns and there will be a war. Show up with a God fearing plan and you stand a chance. No more BRUISES and truly express to him/her what YOUR DEFINITION OF LOVE IS!!!!!!!

People in most relationships do not take the time not only to know each other but to listen. Relationships are not hard unless you make them. We as black people need to realize that it is truly you (as one) against the world. Every time you leave the house you begin to fight daily simply because of the color of your skin, not mentioning the other mess.......however when you come home you do not want to fight with your spouse. We have to learn how to communicate with one another. Nothing is wrong with saying I am sorry, or you are right. You do not need groups, therapy that is not of God to tell you or label your relationship problems or issues. Enough is enough. Sit down, listen, ask questions and at the same time......be genuine in what you are hearing, it does not mean you go out and tell your friends about it or fuss at the person you are talking with.......It simply means that you connect, understand and help meet the needs.
