2009 Multicultural Advertising Intern Program Now Accepting Applications

2009 Multicultural Advertising Intern Program Now Accepting Applications
Posted By: Angela Johnson Meadows on October 07, 2008

The American Association of Advertising Agencies (AAAA) wants to jumpstart the advertising careers of the country’s most talented multicultural students with its Multicultural Advertising Intern Program (MAIP), which offers 10-week paid, full-time summer internships at real-word advertising agencies. MAIP interns gain practical work experience, establish key industry contacts, and perhaps most importantly, are better prepared to land a full-time job in advertising when they graduate.

Internships are available in the following advertising agency departments:

Account Management, Account Planning, Art Direction, Broadcast Production, Copy Writing, Digital/Interactive Design, Media Buying/Planning, Strategic Planning, Print Production, Project Management, Public Relations and Traffic.

MAIP 2009 runs from June 5 to August 15. Interested college juniors, seniors and students in graduate or portfolio school should visit www.aaaa-maip.org to obtain more information about the program and to download an application. The application submission deadline is 5:00 pm EST, Friday, December 5, 2008.
