The College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Miami is pleased to invite applications at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor in the area of writing studies, broadly defined, for tenure-eligible positions starting August 15, 2022, for a newly established Department of Writing Studies (as of January 2022). The ideal candidates will be able to integrate their research and teaching activities with other faculty in the department as well as with other departments and programs across the College and the University. We encourage scholars whose research and publications in writing studies are concerned with race, ethnicity, and inclusive pedagogy to apply. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in research, teaching, and service, as well as creativity and technological sophistication in teaching and mentoring students. We seek candidates who will be committed to supporting and engaging our diverse student community, and who will contribute to the development and offering of courses in writing studies.

Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in writing studies or a related field and a track record of teaching, research, and publication in writing studies that is commensurate with the rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
