Part-Time Benefits Contractor

Location: Austin, TX, position will work REMOTELY must be local to the Austin area and able to pick up and drop off equipment

Pay: $20-$22/hr

Hours: 5-10 hours per week

Duration: 6-8 weeks with the possibility to get extended based on business needs

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Benefits Contractor to assist with requests for medical records. This is a temporary, part-time position requiring approximately 5-10 hours per week for an initial duration of 6-8 weeks, with the possibility of extension. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of $20-$22/hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage requests for medical records in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to HIPAA and other relevant confidentiality and privacy regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to address medical record inquiries or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records to support audit and compliance efforts.
  • Handle sensitive information with the highest level of professionalism and discretion.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with medical records or in a healthcare-related administrative role.
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for maintaining confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines within a part-time schedule.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
