This role is a key change agent, focused on addressing current gaps in process design, documentation, and system support, and translating business needs into sustainable solutions that improve speed, accuracy, and decision-making across Merchandising.</p><p></p><p> This role is responsible for leading the identification, design, and implementation of improved merchandising processes and systems in close partnership with merchants, cross-functional stakeholders, and technology teams. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Merch Program Management, Platforms & Analytics, the Sr. Manager will help move the organization from heavily manual, Excel-based, and antiquated solutions toward standardized, automated, and well-governed capabilities that enable growth and executional excellence.</p><p></p><p><b> Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Advance merchandising capabilities through technology and process innovation, with a focus on improving effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability</li><li>Partner closely with merchants and cross-functional teams (e. g., Supply Chain, IT, Finance, Pricing, Continuous Improvement) to understand business needs and translate them into clear system and process requirements</li><li>Lead efforts to redesign poorly conceived or undocumented processes, including but not limited to promotional planning, item setup, and master data management</li><li>Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement team to develop streamlined, efficient, and standardized end-to-end processes</li><li>Work closely with IT and Product Management to evaluate, develop or procure, implement, and enable systems that support modern merchandising workflows</li><li>Serve as a key business owner and subject matter expert for merchandising systems and processes, ensuring solutions align to business strategy and operational realities</li><li>Support the centralization and optimization of repeatable and automatable process steps, enabling consistent execution and reducing manual effort</li><li>Develop clear process documentation, governance models, and success metrics to ensure long-term adoption and continuous improvement</li><li>Influence change without direct authority, driving alignment and adoption across a diverse set of stakeholders</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Bachelors degree in Business, Merchandising, or a related fieldrequired</li><li>8+ years of experience in merchandising operations, workflow management systems or process excellence</li><li>Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional planning processes</li><li>Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills</li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><span>This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.</span></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p> In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJs Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications.
