About (request update)

I am 40 years old. I graduated from Old Dominion University in 2005 with a B.S. in Counseling and minoring in Special Education. I currently work for the Indigent Defense Commission better known as the Capital Defenders Office which defends clients accused of capital murder. I investigate cases of capital murder and try to keep clients off death row. I began this career in 2011 after working as a Juvenile Probation Officer. I am married to Marcus Barksdale and have been since 2012. I have one daughter Lacole Moore and two stepchildren, Demarius Barksdale and Tianna Barksdale. I am a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. I sit on the following boards: FOCUS on Youth which provides CASA volunteers for abused and neglected children before the court systems; ANCHOR Group Home which is a group home for juvenile males before the courts. I love to read and help children in any way possible.
