I attended Oakland California Schools from Kindergarten through 8th grade. For High school I was determined to go to a boarding school and I applied and was accepted into a few. I fell in love with The Hotchkiss School where I received a full scholarship, was greatly challenged and pushed like I never had been before, and I got opportunities to do things I never dreamed of including going on exchange to Peru and TAing in Oakland. From there, I was accepted into numerous colleges, but, again, fell in love with one, Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon where I just completed my first year. I have had many amazing opportunities because I am not afraid to do something different than what others around me have done.

My next most memorable moment was after a Hula Performance after which my friends and people I didn't personally know congratulated me.
Many of my most memorable moments are with my friends while we explored the beautiful city, our amazing campus, and became best friends.

Best Memories:
Many of my best memories are from my Off-Campus Project my Senior year when my students received the highest grades on their tests in their class. All of the students I worked with were 'borderline' students, who normally received C's or low B's, and many of them earned their first A or High B. Seeing the joy on their faces was undoubtedly the most amazing moment ever for me.
