About   (request update)
Life & Professional Aspirations:
My professional goals is to obtain my PhD in Social Work in order to become a social work educator. It is my educational desire to teach cultural diversity and social policy courses for undergraduate and graduate level students. I look forward to teaching and mentoring first-generation college students and individuals from urban, low-income neighborhoods. However, I am ecstatic that I will one day have the pleasure of educating students of different ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientation, gender, and age. Also, I would like to become a philanthropist. It is my desire to create scholarships for underserved and underrepresented groups who are seniors in high school and for individuals who are attending college. My goal is to lessen the economic hardships for incoming and current college students and increase college graduation rates of African Americans and minorities in higher education.
