About   (request update)
I recently completed my Associate of Arts degree in May and will begin the School of Nursing at Alcorn State University in August. I graduated from Crystal Springs High School as salutatorian and remained highly active, serving as Miss Crystal Springs High School and Beta Club President. While attending Hinds Community College, I was a member of the Hi-Steppers Dance Team, where I served as captain, and I was also President of Hinds Connection and an active member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. I am passionate about nursing and committed to serving underserved communities through compassionate, patient centered care. My goal is to grow clinically and professionally into a skilled nurse who advocates for health equity and makes a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
My life and professional aspiration is to become a nurse practitioner and eventually open my own practice. I want to create a space that provides quality, compassionate healthcare to underserved Black communities who often face barriers to care. My long term goal is to establish the first all Black staffed clinic in Mississippi, where patients feel seen, heard, and valued. Through this practice, I hope to improve health outcomes, build trust in healthcare, and give back to the community that shaped me.

Claim To Fame:
My “claim to fame” in college is my involvement and leadership on campus while maintaining a strong focus on my academic goals. I have been actively involved in organizations such as the Hi Steppers dance team, Hinds Connection, and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Through these experiences, I have built meaningful relationships, served my campus community, and developed leadership skills that will help me succeed as a future nurse. Many people know me as someone who is dependable, hardworking, and always willing to help others while balancing academics, service, and extracurricular activities.
Most Memorable Moment:
Some of my most memorable college moments have come from being involved on campus and building connections with others. Being a member of the Hi Steppers dance team allowed me to perform, represent my school, and share my passion for dance. I also enjoyed participating in Hinds Connection and Phi Theta Kappa, where I met people from different backgrounds and grew as a leader. Another memorable moment was mentoring local children through dance and community service activities, knowing I was making a positive impact. These experiences helped me grow personally, build confidence, and create lasting memories that I will carry with me as I continue my education and pursue a career in nursing.
