Dr. Alexis S. Smith is a technology executive, certified Executive Coach, and scholar holding a D.Min. in Digital Stewardship, concentrating in AI Ethics and Governance. She is seeking C-Suite roles where she can lead responsible AI strategy, digital governance, and enterprise transformation. She is equally drawn to academia, seeking a tenure-track professorship teaching AI Ethics and Governance, along with AI Content Creation from an intellectual property perspective, bringing real-world leadership into the classroom. As an Executive Coach, she partners with leaders to sharpen strategic thinking, build governance maturity, and navigate change with confidence. Across all three paths, her throughline is helping people and organizations lead ethically through technological disruption.

Current Whereabouts:

Deep in AI Ethics & Governance right now and teaching a hybrid course on AI Content Creation, Prompt Engineering & Digital Monetization that connects U.S. students with students in Ghana. Also building out my executive coaching practice at Ascend AI Now, helping leaders think clearly about responsible AI adoption. Genuinely fascinated by where AI, ethics, and IP law intersect, especially around content ownership and creator rights.

Life & Professional Aspirations:

I'm working toward a C-Suite technology leadership role (VP/AVP/CIO/CTO/CAIO) where I can shape responsible AI strategy at scale, while also pursuing a tenure-track professorship teaching AI Ethics & Governance and AI Content Creation from an IP perspective. Alongside both, I'm growing Ascend AI Now, my executive coaching practice, to help more leaders and organizations navigate digital transformation with integrity. The throughline across all of it: helping people and institutions lead well through technological change.

Adjunct Professor teaching a hybrid workforce certificate course on AI Content Creation, Prompt Engineering & Digital Monetization for Carolina Christian College / Carolina TIUA in partnership with the SWIM Workforce Initiative. Curriculum equips learners � including entrepreneurs, ministry leaders, nonprofit and workforce development participants � with practical, ethical AI skills: prompt engineering, responsible and culturally aware AI content creation, brand development, and digital monetization strategy. The course connects U.S. students with students in Ghana, building cross-cultural, international collaboration, and culminates in a capstone project where students launch an AI-powered brand, ministry initiative, or business concept.
