About the Scholarship:
The Helen Matthews Rand Educational Scholarship is designed to encourage the best and the brightest to become Teachers in urban areas. Scholarships will be distributed to students enrolled at Howard University pursuing a course of study leading to a career in teaching. All eligible Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in good standing at the School of Education. Eligibility Requirements: - Must be enrolled in a field of study related to teacher education. - Must be of African-American descent - Must be a U.S. citizen - Must have a minimum of a 3.5 G.P.A.
