This is My proposal for the development of a Cultural Science entitled, "Blacology” at Black Colleges and Universities. A proposal to obtain a P.H.D. in Developmental Research. Blacology has been tried in the classroom structure, with very little opportunity for concentrat¬ion on the actual development of the ZcyNzz. The classroom is not the proper setting. The classroom reduces Blacology to a topic or discussion. Blacology needs the opportunity to grow. It needs to be in a laboratory environment. The best is a library or archives reserved for Black People or Black History.
There are grants and scholarships that can help to fund this type of research. What we are talking about is ZcyNtific research. The government has supplied funds for suet projects before. To the major white universities in the 1960s and 1970s. The first school to introduce Black studies programs was San Francisco State College. In the Spring of 1966 San Francisco State College offer a class in BlacNationalizm. This class was taught under Dr. Nathan Hare. Also there was other Colleges and Universities such as Wesleyan University, Antioch College and Cornel University in 1968. Cornell University received $215,000 for a center and $25,000 for research and development. Also at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. there is Afrocentricity, headed By Dr. Molefi Asanti.
It is time for the Black Universities to be in the business of the redevelopment of The BlacCulture. The Black Colleges and Universities should provide the laboratory for this Interdisciplinary Science. It will be, an honor to become the School of Blacological Thinking. There is a yearning for the Black Colleges and Universities to make a contribution to the field of Science. The Black Colleges and universities must become the home of Blacology. This proposal is an opportunity for the Black College to continue its efforts in Black Redemption.
