The Negative Population Growth Scholarship Essay Contest is open to high school seniors and college freshmen, sophomores and juniors. You must submit an essay on the following topic: "Without critical changes, U.S. population is projected to reach 438 million people in less than 40 years. Explain how this projected growth will negatively affect the United States socially, economically and environmentally". Submissions must be between 500 and 750 words. You must also be a U.S. citizen to qualify for this award.

Entries must be mailed to NPG, P.O. Box 1265, Teaneck, New Jersey, 07666. Please visit the sponsor's Web site for additional information.
