Every year, over 3 million animals in shelters are put-down because they don't get adopted in time. Most are never even considered: shelters cannot afford the advertising and high quality photos needed to get their beautiful animals in front of people looking to adopt. That's why DoSomehting.org created Pics for Pets, a Facebook App and that allows anyone to post photos of animals in need. Just by taking and sharing a great picture of a shelter pet, you can greatly increase its chance of being adopted. To qualify for the Pics for Pets scholarship go to https://apps.facebook.com/dosomethingapp/ and began uploading and sharing pictures of shelter pets in your community. By submitting a picture, you'll be automatically entered to win a $10,000 scholarship. No minimum GPA. No essay. You must be under the age of 25 and a U.S or Canadian citizen to be considered for this award.
