The United Methodist Higher Education Foundation offers several scholarships between $500 and $5,000 to students attending or planning to attend one of the country’s Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs) that are United Methodist-related. The number of awards are limited each year and are not guaranteed. The HBCU institutions whose students this award may support include:

Bennett College
Bethune-Cookman University
Claflin University
Clark Atlanta University
Dillard University
Gammon Theological Seminary
Huston-Tillotson University
Paine College
Philander Smith College
Rust College
Wiley College

Eligibility:
- Be attending or planning to attend a United Methodist-related HBCU
- Be a member of a United Methodist, African Methodist Episcopal, AME Zion, or Christian Methodist Episcopal Church for at least one year
- Be in good standing with the college/university
- Must have a GPA of at least 2.5

To Apply: Applications are accepted January 1 - March 1 for the following academic year. Applicants for this award should use the GENERAL NAMED ENDOWED application on the website.
