About the Scholarship

The Betty & Mort Marshall Memorial Scholarship was established to promote diversity in the building sciences and support students pursuing degrees in architecture and engineering at a Historically Black College or University.
The establishment of this scholarship was made possible because of a generous endowment from Betty and Mort Marshall and a partnership with the National Institute of Building Sciences.

Details

* $5,000 Scholarships will be awarded to one architecture & one engineering student.
* Applications are due no later than Friday, February 23, 2024.
* In addition to receiving a scholarship for tuition for $5,000, the two scholarship recipients will be sponsored to attend and acknowledged at the 2024 National Institute of Building Sciences Building Innovation Conference in Washington, DC.

Eligibility

* Be enrolled in an accredited architecture or engineering program at an HBCU.
* Have completed at least two years of academic program by fall 2024.
* Have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
