Showing my two little boys how to be men. Spending time with my mom and family. Staying in shape. Maintaing my saltwater fish tanks. Talking to young kids at schools about life, staying out of trouble, going to college, don't give up on sports just because you are small and don't allow anyone in any area of your life at all tell you that you can't be something!
Life & Professional Aspirations:
Grinding and working hard day in and day out to the best man of God, father and Businessman I can be. Trying to build a strong company and turn it into an empire. I look up to people like Diddy, Russell Simons, Donald Trump and most of all Our President! I just respect and love people that are so called "Go Getters". The people I named are true business men and I wanted to achieve the same type of success. These are also people who give back and give people that are up and coming in the business world a chance to make it big. All I want to my big shot! If I get half a foot in the door, the world won't know what hit them!
The day my baby boy Sonji Jr. was born. I was still getting my undergrad degree at OSU and playing football. Most young men would have been overwhelmed and looking for excuses, because taking care of a new family while still in college as a full time student is very challenging. I'm not going to say i was not worried about the outcome or how i was going to be a provider. I just knew it was my time to step up more then i ever have in life and be the best father, so to be husband and student athlete I could be.
Most Memorable Moment:
Well if you didn't know, most black college athletes are viewed in a bad light when it comes to academics. Sometimes the public and students feel we are given grades and come into college with the mind set "I’m here to play football and go to class because I have to". Well a memorable moment for me was in my accounting class one day. At the end of the semester the professor would congratulate the top three students in the class with the highest overall percentages. This happened at my first college i attended in Storm Lake Iowa, and this school was a high-end private institution. There were about three other athletes in the class, and everyone in this tough accounting class knew we were only attending this college because of sports. When I walked in the room I could feel the bad vibes coming off of the students in the class, most of them had rich families and went to private high schools. These students would turn their backs, put their arms over the work they were doing, because they suspected me to copy or cheat. After I caught on to how the students felt about me, I made sure I got a seat in the front row every time I came to class. Well to make a long story short, when the professor called the top three students with the best grades in the course, I was number one in the class with a 99%. You could have heard a pin drop when my name was called, heads were turning and I could see the shock on peoples face. Now I’m not the one to rub anything in anyone’s face at all, because I feel I’m not better than the next person. I was thankful to the lord allowing me to earn that grade, now those students will think twice about judging a book by it's cover. Not all student athletes are so called "dumb jocks".

Best Memories:
I loved everything about high school. My best memories came when I took time out everyday from my freshmen to senior year, to help and interact with the disable students. Like I know that sounds cheesy and made up, but I cannot put into words how much I enjoyed just have the opportunity to be around these students. I learned more from them daily then I learned in a full semester in school. I know that sounds different, but these students were so special in so many ways its unreal. I was a star athlete on the football and track team, and I saw people taking advantage of their ability to just walk and run on their own. These disable students were always happy and didn't stress about the little things in life we cannot control. They were just happy to be at school and to learn.
