Dr. Karen L. Thomas (Komposer MD) is a native Philadelphian. Her private music education includes piano studies with Latisha Hirschfeld and Doris Mason as well as organ instruction from Nancy Edison, Robert Plimpton, Dr. J. Edward Hoy, Dr. Allen Breach, and Dr. Gordon Jones. Her performance experiences span the musical spectrum from Handel's "Messiah," Dubois' "The Seven Last Words of Christ," and Rutter's "Gloria" to various contemporary genres. Present work with music centers around being a versatile musician for composition, performance, and multimedia productions with expertise in the areas of creating original theme music, film scoring, orchestration, arranging , and conducting.
